AT&T’s Nokia Lumia 920 started getting a new firmware update yesterday. The 1308 update is designed for the current flagship of the carrier, but it will roll out for the rest of the world in coming weeks. Not that many things have been changed, but there are a few things I want you to pay attention to. First of all, it refers to the display time-out, which can be found under Settings>Lock Screen.
At the moment, the Nokia Lumia 920 users can choose between four options: 30 seconds, 1 minute, 3 minutes and 5 minutes. These options will determine when the screen turns off. Can’t say which one of these options are used the most, but now users can choose three other options too: 15 minutes, 30 minutes and Never.
Though not that many consumers will say this is the most anticipated option they have been waiting for, it’s still nice to see Nokia gives users more options with their display. Moreover, the future updates will enable a color-profile selection, thus users will be able to manipulate the color intensity of their Lumias—a first for Windows Phone.
I don’t think “Never” will be used by anyone, because it is a real battery killer, but maybe you have already tried this out?
